Recently, the newly-built main transformer of the "Quanxin 220kV Substation" has passed the five impulse tests normally, and the busbar difference protection and main transformer protection equipment have successfully completed the load tests. This marks the official operation of the largest energy hub project of Hebei Xinda Steel Group Co., LTD. The newly added power supply load capacity of this substation is approximately 262MW, which can significantly optimize the power grid structure of the factory area, ensure the power demand of production and industrial chain extension projects, and enhance the power supply capacity and reliability.
As a hub platform for energy conversion, utilization, transmission and allocation, the Quanxin 220kV substation plays a crucial role in receiving, distributing and supplying electricity. The main control building is constructed in the middle of the station area based on the geographical location of the station site, the surrounding environment, the direction of voltage outgoing lines at all levels, and taking into account operation and management. The main transformer of the substation is arranged outdoors, while the 220kVGIS and 110kVGIS are arranged indoors. It is equipped with underground cable interlayers. The entire station is furnished with automated equipment such as monitoring systems, measurement and control units, network devices, five-prevention systems, and integrated power supply platforms. The station is also equipped with heating, ventilation, dehumidification, automatic smoke exhaust, and automatic fire alarm systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
During the construction period of the substation, the expert group of Tangshan Power Supply Company of State Grid Jibei Electric Power Co., Ltd. conducted on-site inspections of the civil construction, fire protection, five-prevention, and electrical equipment, etc. It successfully passed the intermediate acceptance and completed the processing of power transmission procedures and parameter declaration, etc. At present, the substation implements a 24-hour duty system, conducting real-time monitoring of the power-consuming areas and regular inspections to fully ensure the safe and stable operation of power supply.

In recent years, the purchased electricity charges and electricity volume of each steel company of the group have decreased year by year, while the self-generated electricity volume and self-generated electricity rate have increased year by year. The self-generated electricity rate can reach up to 90% at the highest.
